The World Organization of Transcarpathian Jews chose the MasterDAM system to establish and manage a digital archive

The World Organization of Jews from Transcarpathia is an organization of Carpathian Jews, working in Israel to commemorate the history of the communities in this region. The organization has set itself the goal of perpetuating the memory of the victims of the Holocaust by holding commemorations and erecting monuments.

The World Organization of Jews from Transcarpathia is currently embarking on a new project in collaboration with the “Kugel” School in Holon, the goal of which is to create a database of Jews from this region, and on its basis to conduct educational activities with school students.

The project, in collaboration with IDEA Information Systems, will operate in three interfaces:

Historical: The story of the region through documents, photographs, films, etc.

Pedagogical-Educational: Based on this database, educational programs will be developed to introduce young people to the region and its uniqueness and significance

Personal: Families from this region will be able to tell their stories, with the various materials, and thus share for the future, and in this way, families from Transcarpathia will be able to perpetuate the Holocaust story of their family members for many generations to come.
