Bank Leumi Chooses MasterDAM software to manage it’s Art Collection

Bank Leumi of Israel chose the MasterDAM software from IDEA Information Systems to manage its unique art collection.

Since its founding in 1902, Leumi has accompanied the growth of the Jewish community and acquired a national collection consisting of canonical works by Israeli artists from different periods and generations, starting with the painters of the founding generation and ending with the artists of Israel’s formative years of the 20th century.

Also, as part of the bank’s initiatives to support the local culture and contribute to the community, Leumi purchases photos from young artists in their early stages. In this way, these artists benefit from financial support while the bank’s customers enjoy the photos and art artifacts scattered among its walls. Some of the art pieces travel between branches or are displayed in exhibitions.

Due to difficulties in managing and tracking the items, the Information Systems Development department at the Leumi Technology division, looked for a solution that would allow to establish a digital database and effectively manage the bank’s art collection and decided to purchase the MasterDAM system and with its help create and manage an advanced digital collection. The MasterDAM system from IDEA Information Systems will allow the bank to keep all digital assets in one central and secure place, will significantly shorten the search time for the items and allow their distribution inside and outside the organization, easily and securely.

Through a smart versioning mechanism, system users will get access to the most updated versions. Also, the system will make it possible to quickly find and retrieve information and prevent double work in recreating lost materials.

About Bank Leumi of Israel

Bank Leumi is the oldest and leading banking corporation in Israel and one of the largest in the Middle East. With the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948, Bank Leumi served as a bank Central of the new state and even issued its first banknotes.

Today, Leumi is the leading bank in Israel, providing a variety of financial services to all customer sectors, starting with households, through small and medium-sized businesses, and ending with huge corporations.
